
YMU MAGAZINE 2024
Young Musicians Unite publishes an annual magazine, timed to coincide with their yearly gala. The goal of this magazine is to encapsulate the essence of the organization in a clear and engaging manner. My role in this project encompassed both creative direction and project management.
On the creative side, I developed the overall concept, created mood boards, and effectively communicated the vision to the designers. From a management perspective, I coordinated with external contractors, including a designer and a copywriter, gathered content for the magazine, proofread all materials, and oversaw the final production and printing.
The thought process behind this creative endeavor was to ensure the magazine felt fun and engaging, reflecting our mission to serve children and teenagers and encourage their creative growth. However, we also needed to strike a balance, avoiding a childish tone, as most of our readers were adults and potential donors.
